  after a 20 minute taxi ride from the Marina Formentera we arrived in the tiny backyard restaurant. The waitress couldn't sort out our reseravation which had been made by using "TheFolk" online portal. Since the girl didn't speak any English it took some time to understand the problem. Obivously the reservation was for 2, not for 3 guests. We showed her the email confirmation but strangeley that didn't help. She went on "no possible". At that time the restaurant was almost empty. While we considered to leave despite the time, (it was already 21:15) and the long taxi drive, a young man (propably the owner) stepped in and simply put a third chair to the small table. After 15 minutes akward discussion we finally got seated. The waitress dropped the menue on the table and the nighmare continued: When my friend asked for the wine list she said, "this is not a tourist restaurant, I'm the wine list". Strange enough she went on about her hometown Valencia (also home of the Paella) and her dedication. The situation was unreal, we even thought about "hidden camera". After more unwanted talking we ordered, also the wine without a "tourist wine list". The food was served within 20 minutes, seefood paella and pasta. The pasta was average a bit overcooked. Non of us felt like saying something. The paella was good but not "great", prices on the higher side, still resonable.

  Amazing paella!! Lots of reserved tables, we arrived about half 8 was ok to eat until 10.30 so plenty of time... staff were busy but service was good, restaurant has a lovely setting, quaint and cosy. Prices are good for the quality and taste of the food... mixed seafood paella €19 pp min. 2 so with starter drink and mains was about €62 portion was good sized too!

  Very nice place. Small restaurant with a nice cuisine. We have ordered as a starter sea bas with tomato and dorada, the food was delicious. Very calm and nice place.

  The atmosphere in the tiny restaurant was dominated by the loud teachery voice of the waitress (probably the girl friend of the owner) who explained other guests the philosophy of the so called "non tourist restaurant". We left with an unpleasent, strange experience.
